We're moving!

I want to add a disclaimer that Shop Shannon Sweeney will still be going STRONG, as well as our booth at Locals in Logan. We are also looking to take on more photo/videography clients who are wanting outsourced editing done. (if you're feeling overwhelmed with how much you have to edit, hit us up!)

We are so so excited to share that we are MOVING! My husband, Kaden, has decided to intern with Lionsgate and Endgame Entertainment. He is planning on going into screenwriting, so LA is the place to be. It's a huge honor for him to not only be accepted for these internships, but he was even considered at several large studios (this is a huge deal because there are thousands of people who apply). We figured these two studios would be the best for us, and getting Kaden to where he needs to be. He will have the opportunity to intern at a large studio (Lionsgate), where he will make good connections, and learn lots about the industry, and a smaller studio, that specializes in pre-production. which is mainly what he wants to do.

He is so passionate about filmmaking, and it's been our plan for a long time now to move there, but it's crazy that it's actually happening. When we were dating, it was always a known thing that if I married Kaden, film would be our lives, and I couldn't be happier about my decision! I used to look at people who did similar things with chasing their dreams and living in cool places, and find myself envying their lifestyle. I wanted to do something so cool and significant in my life.

But no one ever talks about how hard it really is to chase your dreams.

Thankfully we have been planning on the move for awhile now, so it's not a shock that all of sudden we have to move, but it's NOT EASY. We have worked so hard all day every day trying to save money, live well beneath our means, and make sure we are doing everything in our power to prepare. I'll be honest in saying it's been hard to live in the "now" when you're so focused on what you're prepping for. We know the sacrifices of leaving our friends, family, and cushy lifestyles will *crosses fingers* pay off eventually, but living in the now is hard. It's hard to work so hard to save money, only to see your bank account numbers go down and have to worry about how you're going to make ends meet!

During the time we've been prepping to move, I've felt alone in the whole situation. Like so many questions I need to ask about this and that, but no one who understands how it really all works. I've spent countless google searches searching, "Moving to LA for young married couples" with nothing turning up. Millions of people move to LA every single day, but they're not all married, and certainly aren't early 20's young married couples. I hope we can be a source of "hey come ask us questions about how it all works" or be able to share with you some things we've learned along the way. I plan on writing more about what it's like to move to LA, what we've learned and allll that.

If you have any questions ever, please message me! And keep following along, and watch us on our adventures out in LA.

xoxoxo
