Halloween 2018

Happy Halloween season folks! I love this time of year. The scary movies (horror is my favorite genre), the pumpkin bread, and the heightened candy consumption. Living in LA feels so strange this time of year, because I walk around outside thinking it's a nice spring day, but everywhere else is on the cusp of snow storms and icy roads. I LOVE IT. The only thing we have thats close to fall weather is the crazy fog in the mornings. I could barely see the exit sign on my way to work this morning!

This year, corduroy is in, which meant it was the PERFECT year to dress up like Wendy and Jack Torrance from The Shining. The Shining is one of my all time favorite movies, so we had fun with it. We decided to decorate our car The Shining themed as well, to match. I recreated the famous carpet with some poster board and construction paper, and it turned out better than I expected! It's definitely not perfect, but I figured it would get the idea across. I also turned a poster board into a door, and painted REDRUM across it. Kaden also spent 45 minutes recreating the pages that say "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", and they turned out brilliant. Here's some pictures from the night!

Hi! I'm Shannon, and I'm so happy to have you in this little corner of the internet. I love sharing blurbs about life, decor, and my art. Hope you enjoy!
